My 'selves'.
When I can’t paint, I draw. The urge to create has pressed upon me every moment of my life, a constant companion since childhood.
Every face I see ignites an urge to understand the feeling behind their expressions. I feel compelled to explore and uncover the emotions they convey.
Over time, my drawings evolve, slightly shifting in style, with the paintings that follow becoming the next stage of this journey. Each drawing is a study, a precursor to my upcoming series of paintings, where you'll recognize these expressions and postures in the exhibited pieces.
My studio walls are filled with faces, all gazing at me with curiosity. I enjoy being watched by them, as their eyes reflect my own exploration of self. They seem to observe me as I observe them, offering a new perspective on my thoughts and emotions.
These faces are, in a way, my selves, revealing parts of me that I am only beginning to understand.
